Episode 12 of Drew’s Brews Reviews is here! The beer review show you never knew you wanted and no one needs. The IPA train derails and I mix it up with an ale from Spencer brewery, the only official Trappist beer brewed in the US. Special thanks to a friend of a friend who picked this up for me on her travels through New England. This review is fact-tastic, so be prepared to learn “a little bit” about Trapp-ism and these new to brew monks.
Ep 13 — Southern Tier’s Fusebox (Available Soonish)
Bonus Note: Take note of the butt-ton of times I mutter “a little bit” to be driven almost completely insane. That unnerving bout of crazy is free of charge, just for you guys. And a butt-ton is exactly one more butt than is needed to make up a ton, like a butt baker’s dozen. You’re welcome.
Theme Song: Sonny J — Enfant Terrible
Head Hunter retails for $10.99 plus tax for a 4 pack in Ohio. Not sure about PA.
I think you missed the Head Hunter review and posted on Spencer’s, but that’s ok. It does seem odd that I paid so much for a beer that has a location in Pittsburgh (I bought the bottle outside of Philadelphia), but I knew it was a decent mark up when I got it. If it was that price and readily available, I’d do it for a change of pace if there wasn’t a new IPA I wanted to try or I’m tired of DirtWolf. Wouldn’t be my first choice, but hard to resist just having some in the fridge for $11 a four pack.
